Listed Building Consent: Formation of safe means of escape for existing first floor residential accommodation including construction of external staircase. Conversion of first floor apartment to form two apartments Angarrack Inn 12 Steamers Hill Angarrack Hayle TR27 5JB Ref. No: PA14/08546 Advice Objection. Loss of original partitions and subdivision of rooms would harm the significance and the proportions of historic rooms, and adversely affect the character of this listed building. Proposed positions of new partitions do not respect the existing floor plan or window splays. Additional works for comply with building regulations for means of escape would harm historic features such as skirtings, joinery and architraves. Recommend refusal. Appendices. HAYLE ANGARRACK SW 53 NE 4/66 The Angarrack Inn GV II Public house. Circa early-mid C19. Stucco. Hipped grouted scantle slate roof with projecting eaves. Brick chimneys over the side walls. Plan: Double depth plan with wider reception room on the left and small parlour on the right flanking an entrance hall leading to a stair hall between rear service rooms. Exterior: 2 storeys. Regular 3 window south-west front with doorway right of middle. 2 windows left of doorway and 1 window on the right, all with windows above. Original 6-panel door and overlight with patterned glazing. Original 12-pane hornless sashes. At the left hand side wall towards the rear is a 6-panel door and overlight with marginal panes and on its left is another 12-pane sash. Interior: not inspected. Listing NGR: SW5839438212
