ANNOUNCEMENT OF INTENTION NOT TO PREPARE

AN ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT (Regulation 5 of the

Environmental Impact Assessment (Land Drainage

Improvement Works) Regulations 1999 as amended by

SI 2005/1399 and SI 2006/618

Angarrack/Loggan Mills Leat Bank Repairs

The Environment Agency gives notice that it proposes to carry out improvement works to the flood defences on the Angarrack Stream in Hayle between (NGR SW5778938651) and (NGR SW5812438440), a distance of 0.4 kilometres.  The proposed improvement works will involve the following:

  • repair to damaged areas of the existing embankment,
  • re-construction of 2No. off-take structures,
  • construction of formalised spillway to prevent future damage

The Environment Agency considers that hte improvement works are not likely to have significant effects on the environment nd does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them.

Any person wishing to make representations in relation to the likely environmental effect of the proposed improvement works should do so, in writing, to the address specified below, within 28 days of the date of publication of this notice.
