Two-year-old Ashton is star of Sport Relief

A SPORTY two-year-old from Hayle was one of the youngest runners taking part in the Sport Relief Mile in Penzance on Sunday morning.

... The Smitheram family from Angarrack, including Darth Vader dad David and Wonder Woman mum Cheryl with 12-year-old Kiera and eight-year-old Taya was one of the only groups in fancy dress this year.

Mrs Smitheram said: "I have supported the cause in the past by sponsoring others, this year we wanted to do something ourselves." Daughter Kiera added: "I had to convince mum and dad that it would be a good idea to wear costumes."
