An accident occurred at the new railway works at Marazion on Saturday. A bridge for vehicular traffic has been erected over the Great Western mainline, to take the place of the level crossing and rising approach roads are being made in three directions – Penzance, Ludgvan and Marazion.

On Saturday a train of debris from Angarrack was being pushed down this temporary line when the wagons took charge and four of them tipped over. Realising the danger of their position, the driver and fireman jumped from the locomotive , which kept on the rails and no one was hurt.
