Water pours out of manhole and floods down drive with every rainfaill, 18th March

Mon, 18/03/2019 - 18:54
There is a manhole cover in the road that has a vertical jet of water coming out of it with every heavy rainfall., It pours down the drive and has to be diverted with sandbags into a French drain to avoid flooding the property. This has been going on for some time but Cormac advised me when they came to fix the proud manhole cover that the Council had run out of money and would not look at it until the next financial year. The water floods the courtyard and continually endangers flooding the house

Your repairs from last year have started failing once more and require attention. This section of road is probably the busiest in Camborne and needs resurfacing. The council have spent money replacing the road surface along Eastern Lane which was in much better condition than Church Street.

There are more than 30 potholes with some over 3 feet wide and some approx 5 inches deep, these present a potential danger to pedestrians and to cars on Trenawin Lane, these are getting worse weekly and have now become dangerous to road users and to pedestrians. Most cars have a ground clearance of less than 5 inches. Please can these be filled as I fear there is a risk if they are not filled as soon as possible. These have been getting worse for months now, The council have recognized the problem and have placed a sign nearby so accepted there is a risk already, I realise potholes are sometimes unavoidable but feel these now present a real risk if not filled immediately, Thank you

Excess weed growth preventing the road from draining, 4th February

Mon, 04/02/2019 - 16:09
The drainage of The Causeway road is blocked by ever-growing weeds, causing heavy rain to flood halfway across the highway, between the dual-carriageway and Chenhalls Road junction This has been ongoing whenever there is heavy rain, and the weeds and grass growth has been allowed to remain blocking the drainage into the estuary.
