Ken Townend Bureaucracy gone mad. Having to have planning permission to repair a hole. In the old days it would not have been allowed to get so big. Would have got in there and sorted after first stone fell out.
Graham Coad Ken, it's because the whole quay is a historic "Listed Structure" and has to be repaired with traditional materials in a traditional way, approved by the Conservation Officer.
The delay is because it has taken time to sort out between the harbour owners and their insurance company.
