The first land lord of our Pub way back 1765 Lottie Tregorran and read the Grim story ??

Gosh ! Good thing the new land lord likes Robins (all of them)????

The Angarrack Inn in Angarrack near to Hayle goes back a long way and one of its first land ladies was called Lottie Tregorran.

The story is that one day her son set off on his horse going somewhere, when a robin flew out of the bushes and flew up the horses nose and startled him.

He reared up and threw Lottie’s son off who hit his head and was badly injured causing his demise.

Lottie was so upset that she never forgave robins and spent the rest of her life putting out food that was poisoned to kill all the robins she could.

A plaque on the pub wall tells her story and some call it the Robin Inn.

The name Angarrack comes from An Garrek which means "The Rock" in the Cornish language.
